Unix/Linux System Administrator II & I
Administer the Unix and Linux workstations and servers in the Program development and test environment as well as the Program production environment. Requires current knowledge of or ability to quickly learn Solaris 11 with Trusted Extensions. Requires a good understanding of networking. Configure Solaris / Linux releases for use in the Program environments. Manage user accounts and assist users. Ensure all systems meet standards required under the Program Security Controls Traceability Matrix as well as all associated policy and procedures. Participate in certification and accreditation efforts under ISSM guidance. Obtain and test patches for common configurations. Deploy patches and new software with automated tools (preferable) and migrate currently manual process to automated processes. Ensure configurations are documented and preserved in configuration management for use in a DevOps pipeline. Work closely with software development team to ensure roadblocks and barriers related to Solaris and Linux are resolved and avoided. Research Linux configurations used by Program customers to advise on streamlined connections to Program nodes. Document instructions for customers, keeping documentation under configuration management at all times. Troubleshoot customer connections and document resolution for use by the Program Customer Administration team. Perform the Program Customer Administration function. Knowledge of Windows is helpful. CCNA helpful.
Entry requirement includes DoD 8570.01-m certification as IAT Level II includes current Security+ certification and current Operating system certification (Linux or Solaris 11).
Requires the ability to obtain and maintain the following within 1 year:
- CISSP certification
- Solaris certification
Senior Network Engineer
The Senior Network Engineer serves as the senior technical expert on complex and challenging network architecture and engineering.
Ten(10) years of technical experience of increasing responsibilities in multiple aspects of telecommunications network architecture.
MySQL Database Admin
The DBA II is able to perform moderately complex database development tasking to include:
• Proficient in MySQL v5.7 and above
• Perform general database and query optimization
• Provide database query redesign in support of overall performance optimization
• Develop database design specifications to meet approved requirements.
• Develop and debug database programs and scripts to meet approved design
• Develop database unit test procedures to demonstrate proper functioning of code
Four years of progressive experience in the management of relational database systems.
